Does skydiving change your life? Abso-freakin-loutley! Skydiving can change your life in ways you can’t possibly fathom until you’ve taken the plunge! Imagine being crouched in a small plane 10,000 feet above the earth, peering out, feeling the wind rushing by … and surely a surge of ‘AHHHH’! You’re not just about to jump from a plane – you’re about to leap into a moment that has potential to rewrite your entire story.
We’re confident skydiving will change your life – it isn’t just an adrenaline rush – it’s an act that can shatter your fears, ignite your courage, and truly shift the way you see the world forever. We know this is a big claim, and we can back it up!
How is skydiving life changing? And are there any benefits to skydiving (other than looking awesome)? Oh, yeah. Here’s five ways skydiving can alter your story forever.

1. Conquering Fear.
Skydiving literally throws you into a primal confrontation with fear – it’s a pretty otherworldly experience. But, how does this change you? It’s the act of pushing past the fear by consciously choosing to do it despite the nerves that actually rewires your brain. It’s basically super high-intensity exposure therapy!
Doing the thing that scares us gives our amygdala (the part of the brain that tells us to fear things) a run for its money. And over time, with repetitive ‘exposure’, the fears that were once crippling are diminished. Does this translate to life on the ground after you take the leap? Absolutely. Once you show those fears who’s really in charge, you basically realize that fear can exist, but you can still do the scary thing. What does skydiving teach you about fear? It’s a yield sign, not a stop sign.
2. Shifting Perspective.
When we’re all the way up in the sky (our favorite place!) the world below blurs into something more distant, and suddenly, those stressors on the ground just don’t matter near as much as they did mere minutes before. Skydiving is like a forced reset. Think of it like computers or phones glitching up. What do we do to fix them? Well, unless you’re an IT wizard, you probably turn it off and then on again! It’s the same thing with skydiving. This expansion of your sense of time and scale happens during a single skydive, it’s even more prominent the more we do it – this is one reason people choose to jump over and over again!
3. Building Confidence.
This sort of lines up with conquering fear, because confidence is a built-in result when we have an obvious victory over our doubt – WE DID IT and we can do it again. It’s not about the humble brag (although that’s pretty dang sweet), but proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you ever thought. And jumping from an airplane gives you this newfound confidence that shows up in your everyday life – it’s transformational.
4. Community.
Skydiving isn’t a solo sport, even if you’re doing a jump by yourself. The dropzone – AKA, the happiest place on earth – is filled with people who get it. After that first jump, you’re a skydiver, and you’ve done something that is so awesome you’ll inevitably want to share it with others. It’s pretty comforting when the people you’re sharing with can reciprocate and you can bond over common experiences. The skydiving community is a tight-knit group of people with a collective passion, and there’s a huge sense of belonging gained when you are chasing after similar goals alongside incredibly supportive people.
5. Catalyzing Adventure.
Skydiving flips a switch to living bigger, bolder, and better. Whether the adventurous spirit encourages you to take up other exciting activities or advance in all facets of the sport, it all starts with a single jump. Suddenly, the couch feels a bit less comfy, spending all weekend partying becomes a little less appealing, and spending all your money on material things seems ludicrous.
On the flip side, the concept of waking up early in the morning to become your best self finally clicks, reading a new book is desirable, and spending quality time with other people with similar goals is where you find satisfaction. It may seem unlikely that leaping from an airplane (a physical act) is so integrated in our emotional intelligence, but it really is!

What are the long term effects of skydiving? The greatest long term effect of skydiving is realizing that life isn’t meant to be watched from the sidelines – it’s meant to be jumped into and truly LIVED. So, what type of person goes skydiving? Someone who wants to gain confidence, live their life to the fullest, and discover themselves alongside the best people. Are YOU ready to see what skydiving has to offer? Book your jump today!
