The Wisconsin Skydiving Center team teaches people how to skydive using a sophisticated curriculum and a continuity of instruction that transcends industry standards. In as few as 25 jumps – including your tandem skydive – our training program will take you from novice to competent solo flyer!
How It Works
The Wisconsin Skydiving Center learn to skydive program is a modified version of the United States Parachute Association (USPA) Accelerated Freefall (AFF) training method – it’s the same curriculum, but better.
Simply stated, we take the intensity level way down and your confidence level way up.
WSC Training Program
At WSC, we offer a scaffolded approach to learning how to skydive. We break from the traditional teaching model by segmenting the curriculum into phases that are easier to understand and retain — decreasing your overwhelm and increasing your likelihood of success. In our program, you focus on the mechanics of skydiving while building competence and confidence. By the time you are eligible for certification, you will have logged at least 25 jumps from an airplane and will be a fully self-sufficient skydiver! Our phased approach includes four concentrations:
Skydiving License Progression
Tandem
The best introduction there can be to skydiving!

Solo
After the Tandem Introduction, your next three jumps are solo. You will undergo three hours of ground training. You will have your own parachute on your back, complete a solo exit with instructor assisted deployment, and fly the parachute and land by yourself with ground radio assistance. By the end of this block, you will know how to exit the airplane, fly the parachute and land by yourself.

Freefall
Building on exit and parachute flying skills, the next eight jumps (your Freefall Course) are about learning how to deploy your parachute and control your body in freefall. Heading maintenance, turns, forward motion, altitude and situational awareness, and freefall acrobatics are all skills you will learn during this section of the course. Further skill development in canopy flying and landing.

Coach
Coach Block is about further mastery of exits, freefall skills, canopy control, and landing. You will learn how to jump with other people, build formations, and how to “track” across the sky. Through this block you will become a more confident and competent skydiver and get ready for your skydiving license Check Dive.

Check Dive
You have now successfully demonstrated gear knowledge, aircraft exit, emergency procedures, freefall safety and maneuver skills, as well as parachute flight and landing skills. The Check Dive is your final assessment, and upon completion you will earn your A License.

Training Requirements
What’s Included
Everything you need to complete your skydiving training is included in the cost of the program. There are no hidden fees or extra add-ons.
The Benefits of Being Licensed
After you have earned your license, you can skydive at any of the nearly 1,000 dropzones located around the world – almost 250 of which are in the US! Throw your kit in the trunk of your car and you’ll make friends wherever you go!
