Meet Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn’s first experience skydiving was on her 18th birthday back in 2017. Unlike many others, she was NOT instantly hooked. She actually threw up many times. However, she was convinced to buy the jump pass and do it again. Even the second time around, she was still unsure how she felt. Although, as many people say, third time is the charm! Kaitlyn did her third tandem in 2019 and fell in love with jumping. She signed up for one of the first available first jump courses in 2020 to get her license. Getting her license wasn’t easy because she still struggled with motion sickness. Kaitlyn made a Wisconsin Skydiving Record as being the first and ONLY student to throw up during their training. Kaitlyn felt discouraged because she had another obstacle to face that others didn’t. She was even told that it was understandable if she did not want to continue pursuing skydiving.

Nevertheless, Kaitlyn discovered a certain type of nausea pill that worked and she now has over 300 jumps. She got her coach rating in 2022 and is currently training to become a videographer.

Kaitlyn’s words of wisdom to you is, “don’t let your adversity (or motion sickness) get in the way of your passions. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be where I am today.” If Kaitlyn can skydive, so can you.
