Why Skydive

Wisconsin Skydiving Center Posted by: Wisconsin Skydiving Center 9 years ago

It’s the dawn of a new year and with it brings hope for a year of change and reaching your full potential. What will make this year extraordinary for you?

We think we have the answer as we see lives empowered everyday… it’s stepping out of your comfort zone! The reward you feel this year will be directly linked to how far you step from your safe and happy place to expand your horizons. It doesn’t have to be skydiving; it can be anything that allows your creativity to come out by learning and doing something out of your norm.

Too often, new year’s resolutions are chided as something that will be spoken but not acted upon. Shame on those people doing the chiding. The first step to achieving something big is saying it publicly and writing it down. So we invite you… dream of something that will make you happier in 2015. Want to lose weight? Say it loudly and be specific with how much weight you want to lose! Wish to go back to school, or travel to a place that seems unreachable….write it down! The first step to any goal is acknowledging it.

Once you’ve acknowledged what you want to do ask yourselves two questions:

1. What is the first step you need to make to get your journey started? Is it making a call to someone or saving enough money…what’s the first step?

2. What are you tolerating? No one likes to tolerate anything and most of us are so used to things nipping at our heels and dragging us down that we don’t even know it’s there. So take a moment and answer the question… what are you tolerating?

So who are we to say all this on a skydive website? We’ve been doing this long enough to see our guests empowered and high on life – not because they jumped out of an airplane. It’s because they did something that they couldn’t imagine themselves doing. The beauty of that is once you’ve accomplished something big… what else can you accomplish that you never pictured yourself doing? The answer… nothing!

Here’s to you and your amazing 2015!
